A Colorado man, Ronald Lowry, has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder in connection with the death of his estranged wife, Richelle “Chelle” Lowry. The 52-year-old was arrested following a thorough investigation into Chelle’s death, which occurred over two years ago. The announcement was made by the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in a press release dated 27th February.

Richelle Lowry, aged 42, was found deceased in her home in Bennett, Colorado, in October 2023, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Initial inquiries into the circumstances of her death raised suspicions of a possible suicide. However, after an extensive investigation, authorities concluded that the death was a homicide. This determination came following an in-depth forensic analysis and a review of digital evidence which ultimately implicated Ronald.
The incidents leading up to Chelle’s death revealed a troubling dynamic between the couple. According to court documents obtained by local media, investigators noted that Ronald exhibited jealous and angry behaviour towards Chelle following their separation.
