Initially intending to take a sightseeing hop-on hop-off cruise around the city, Johnston was surprised to discover that the boat was packed with enthusiastic Southend United supporters on their way to watch the team play against Sutton United.
According to BBC reports, Johnston, who is currently studying in London for six weeks, stood out on the boat as the lone unfamiliar face among the reveling fans.
