Reflecting on his transition, Moore expressed the emotional challenges of parting ways with his original castmates. “I’ll be honest, it was hard,” he revealed in an interview. “You know, it’s hard to say goodbye. But in life, and especially in Hollywood, nothing lasts forever.” After years of camaraderie with the cast, Moore is ready to take Hondo into uncharted territory with “S.W.A.T. Exiles,” set to premiere on Friday, 25th September.

Despite the bittersweet nature of bidding farewell to his former crew, Moore is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. He explained that he’s keen to explore new dynamics with Hondo while maintaining the core essence of the original series. “What’s crazy is this franchise of S.W.A.T. and Shemar Moore’s Hondo — this train keeps on cooking,” he remarked, hinting at an ongoing evolution of the character.

As filming can stretch over an eight-day period with action-packed days, maintaining peak physical condition is more than just vanity; it’s essential for performing the stunts required by the role.
