Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned music mogul, is reportedly facing potential disciplinary action in prison for violating rules by making a three-way call. According to CBS News, Combs, who is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix in New Jersey, allegedly engaged in an unauthorized call involving three individuals.

In response to these reports, Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, asserted that the three-way call in question was initiated by an attorney and fell under the category of attorney-client privilege. Engelmayer further disclosed that Combs is actively participating in the drug treatment program at the facility and is assigned to work in the chapel library.

The Bureau of Prisons prohibits inmates from adding multiple individuals to a single phone call. Despite previous allegations, including claims of Combs consuming homemade alcohol in prison, his spokesperson has vehemently denied any violations of the institution’s regulations. Maintaining Combs’ commitment to sobriety and discipline, the spokesperson dismissed the circulating inaccurate reports.

Shedding light on Combs’ journey within the penal system, he was initially held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following his arrest in September 2024. Subsequently, after spending over a year in confinement, Combs was transferred to the low-security prison at Fort Dix. This relocation was sought to facilitate his access to drug rehabilitation programs and enhance family visitation opportunities.
Upon sentencing on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution on October 3, Combs was also imposed a $500,000 fine. As he accrues credit for the time served, the transition to Fort Dix aligns with his legal team’s efforts to prioritise addressing substance abuse concerns and optimising his rehabilitation journey. The transfer request emphasised the benefits of Combs’ placement at FCI Fort Dix for fostering his holistic well-being.
Amidst these developments, speculation and media scrutiny surrounding Combs’ conduct in prison persist. Significantly, his advocates stress his adherence to the prescribed protocols and underscore his serious approach towards maintaining sobriety and discipline. The legal and correctional processes governing Combs’ incarceration reflect a blend of diligence, rehabilitation endeavours, and adherence to institutional regulations.
