Courteney Cox, the beloved actress known for her role in “Friends,” has made her mark on New York City with an inventive collaboration that merges hospitality and personal care. From September 16 to October 18, Cox’s Homecourt hand wash will be featured at COQODAQ, a trendy restaurant renowned for its contemporary dining experience.
The partnership highlights an intriguing concept: diners at COQODAQ are greeted by an elaborate handwashing bar as the first point of contact upon entering the establishment. Cox explains her motivation behind this collaboration, stating that it allows patrons to engage with her hand wash in a stunning setting. She relayed her vision to PEOPLE, emphasising the idea of elevating everyday experiences. “It was the perfect opportunity for us to bring our soaps in and have people experience it in a very gorgeous, elevated place,” she remarked, noting that COQODAQ’s innovative approach aligns perfectly with her brand.

Simon Kim, the owner of COQODAQ, echoed Cox’s sentiment, underscoring the importance of hand hygiene in his dining environment. “As a restaurateur, I believe 100% of my customers should be washing their hands. So we designed a hand washing station right in front,” he explained. The restaurant aims to redefine hand washing from a mundane task into an enjoyable experience, with the handwashing station described as a “high-end hand soap buffet.”
Cox’s Homecourt line, which boasts seven unique fragrances, will be exclusively available at the restaurant, offering guests an opportunity to explore a range of luxurious scents while ensuring cleanliness. The actress elaborated on her commitment to quality, asserting that her products are designed with the same attention to detail one would expect from fine dining. “It doesn’t dry your hands out, the bottle is gorgeous. It’s my baby. I want it to be discreet and just have the bottle stand out on its own,” she noted.

Beyond her commitment to elevating personal care products, Cox shared insights into her passion for hosting gatherings at her home. Music plays a pivotal role in her entertaining style, serving as a backdrop that adds to the atmosphere of her gatherings. “It just has to be something that you don’t feel like, ‘Oh, it’s quiet and now we have to fill the space with words,” she explained, advocating for a comfortable ambiance where guests can relax and enjoy the moment.
Cox’s creative pursuits extend beyond the realm of soap and entertaining. Recently, she directed her second film, “Evil Genius,” which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The movie, centred on the notorious 2003 “pizza bomber” case, showcases her talent in directing alongside acclaimed actors like Patricia Arquette and David Harbour. Cox expressed admiration for her cast, calling them “some of the most talented actors” she has worked with.
Despite her ventures into darker narratives like those depicted in “Evil Genius,” Cox showcased her lighter side when discussing the rather whimsical topic of her ultimate death row meal. Jokingly, she listed an array of comfort foods including pasta, pizza, fried chicken, coleslaw, and steak, punctuated with a preferred choice of drinks: “vodka rocks and some wine!”
This unique blend of creativity, passion for detail, and dedication to providing a memorable dining experience is at the heart of Cox’s recent initiatives. Her collaboration with COQODAQ not only spotlight her Homecourt brand but also reflects her overarching philosophy of transforming the ordinary into something exceptional.
As the partnership unfolds over the month-long run, diners can look forward to an immersive experience that marries culinary delight with the art of handwashing. In doing so, Courteney Cox is not merely promoting a product but rather championing an elevated lifestyle, where even the simplest acts are infused with an essence of sophistication and care.
