Influencer Tommy Winkler and his wife Jess are set to welcome their first child, with the baby expected to arrive at the end of February. The couple, who exchanged vows in June of this year, shared their joyful news with family and friends shortly after discovering that Jess was pregnant.

The couple found out about the pregnancy just a day after Tommy’s birthday, which is on June 10. The 25-year-old TikTok star, known online as “The Food Guy,” recounted the moment they took the test together, noting the thrill of seeing the positive result. “We filmed a video showing the camera first, then flipped the test, and when we saw it was positive, it was the craziest feeling,” he told PEOPLE.
Jess, 24, had a premonition that it was time to take a test. She revealed, “I had a feeling that we should take a test, so we looked up the earliest date it would show a positive result.” Her intuition proved correct when the test confirmed their suspicions. Jess explained the mixture of emotions she felt upon seeing the result: “I was expecting it but also not at the same time. It was surreal to have confirmation that this was happening.”
Breaking the news to their loved ones proved to be more nerve-wracking than they anticipated, but the couple received a warm and enthusiastic response. Jess described her anxiety before sharing the news with her family, saying, “I knew they were going to be over the moon excited for us. It was hard to wait to tell them all in person.” They informed close friends and family within the first month of finding out and appreciated the outpouring of support.
Tommy reflected on his anxiety about the timing, considering it unusual to announce a pregnancy so soon after their wedding. He felt a sense of relief and excitement when he shared the announcement with his family on Father’s Day, a moment that was met with joy. “They were extremely excited for Jess and I,” he said.
However, the journey has not been without its challenges. Jess has faced a somewhat difficult first trimester, marked by persistent nausea and fatigue. She noted that she has yet to experience any cravings, stating, “I struggle to find anything appetising at the moment.” Despite the discomfort, she expressed gratitude for Tommy’s unwavering support. “He has been so helpful and patient, trying to do whatever he can to make me feel better,” she said, adding that it means the world to her to have him by her side during this time.
Tommy admitted that witnessing Jess’s discomfort has been challenging, but he remains optimistic about her health improving. He is even looking forward to making a video showcasing her pregnancy cravings when they do arise, saying, “I’m excited to document her eating what she craves all day.”
While the couple has decided to keep the sex of their baby a surprise until October, they are already planning a gender reveal party to celebrate. They have also started to think about potential names for their child but prefer to keep these under wraps until the baby arrives.
Both Tommy and Jess expressed their gratitude for the new chapter they are about to embark upon. Tommy stated, “I feel extremely blessed and excited to be a father. Each day that goes by I am getting more and more excited,” and reassured that he feels calm knowing Jess will be an incredible mother.
