Kevin Jonas, the eldest member of the Jonas Brothers, recently shared a delightful moment involving his daughters at the premiere of the latest addition to the beloved Disney franchise, *Camp Rock 3*. Having celebrated the film at the Walt Disney Studio Lot in Burbank, California, Jonas described his 12-year-old daughter Alena Rose and 9-year-old Valentina Angelina as being “a little too excited” during the film’s viewing, particularly over the performance of a new cast member.

The event, held on August 10, saw Kevin joined by his brothers, Nick and Joe, as they embraced the nostalgic feelings associated with the *Camp Rock* series. In an exclusive interview with *People*, Kevin light-heartedly remarked on the enthusiasm displayed by his daughters when actor Malachi Barton appeared on screen. Barton, now 19, plays Fletch Robinson, a character described as an edgy singer-songwriter in the latest film.
While joking about his daughters’ excitement regarding Barton, Kevin expressed his pride in the new talent introduced in *Camp Rock 3*. “It’s really incredible. I just watched it the other night with our girls and they were very excited. People are going to love the songs. They’re going to love the dancing,” he noted, praising the skills of the younger cast members.
Nick Jonas chimed in, reflecting on how the family-oriented nature of their work has brought joy as they engage with a growing multigenerational audience. He noted that witnessing the franchise’s enduring appeal has been rewarding, particularly now as they each have children of their own. “As parents, the last couple of years we’ve been thrilled to partner with Disney on different projects that we can share with our kids,” Nick explained, hinting at a deeper connection to their past as they introduce their work to the next generation.
Joe Jonas echoed these sentiments and mentioned the significant impact of their projects on fans who have grown up with them. He explained, “What we’re seeing is the multigenerational effect of people that were our age as teens, who are now adults bringing their kids to our shows. I think the same thing will happen with this film.” Joe and Nick, both fathers, are experiencing this transition firsthand as they invite their children into the world of their childhood entertainment.
The original *Camp Rock* film debuted in 2008, featuring a young Demi Lovato alongside the Jonas Brothers. It was a coming-of-age story about aspiring singer Mitchie Torres, played by Lovato, and her journey through a prestigious summer music camp. The film’s popularity led to a sequel, *Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam*, which continued the narrative with the original cast.
Demi Lovato, who served as an executive producer for *Camp Rock 3*, also made a cameo appearance in the film. At the premiere, she expressed her excitement about being part of the continuation of a story that holds special significance. “It was hard to keep my appearance in the film a secret. People have been asking, ‘Are you a part of it?’” she revealed. “Now that people know, I can’t wait for the world to see it.”
*Camp Rock 3*, infused with nostalgia and refreshing new talent, is currently streaming on Disney+, allowing families to enjoy the revival of a much-loved series. As Kevin Jonas and his family cherish these moments, the continuation of their journey in the entertainment industry remains a source of excitement and collective joy for many.
