An AMBER Alert has been issued for Layla Alexis Nubian Carter, a 13-year-old girl from Georgia, who authorities fear is in “extreme danger.” The alert was activated late on Thursday, July 16, following her disappearance earlier that day.

Layla was reportedly last seen around 1 a.m. at a residence on James Drive in Baxley. She was with Giavannie Alexis Carter at the time, prompting concerns surrounding their safety. The two are believed to be travelling in a grey Jeep Renegade bearing the Georgia licence plate SLU9322.
Described as having blonde braided hair, Layla was last seen wearing pajama bottoms and a t-shirt. Giavannie, who is 32 years old, has black braided hair and was dressed in a grey and white tank top, complementing it with black shorts and a black baseball cap featuring blue trim.
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Layla stands approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds. Giavannie is about the same height, weighing 140 pounds. The physical descriptions have been shared widely in the hope of locating both individuals swiftly.
