On July 3, former supermodel Paulina Porizkova and television writer Jeff Greenstein tied the knot in an enchanting ceremony overlooking Lake Orta in Northern Italy. The couple, who started dating three years ago, welcomed 78 guests to share their special day, which included a reception at the picturesque Villa Crespi, a site that holds sentimental value for Porizkova from her modelling days.

Reflecting on her past dating experiences, Porizkova confessed that she was on the dating app Raya for five years, experiencing very little success. “Older women like me are invisible on sites like that,” she remarked. Her luck changed when she matched with Greenstein, who had specifically set his age preferences between 52 and 60. “I wasn’t ruling out the idea of meeting a contemporary,” he elaborated.
Their chemistry was instant, with engaging conversations drawing them closer together. Despite being based in different cities—Porizkova in New York and Greenstein in Los Angeles—the pair’s initial conversations progressed rapidly to FaceTime chats, tea, wine, and eventually tequila. The model fondly reminisced, “All we did was talk… and then we shifted to virtual drinks.”
The turning point came when Porizkova texted Greenstein, expressing her admiration for him and asking when he would visit New York to meet in person. Their first outing confirmed their connection, leading to Greenstein relocating to the city to begin their new chapter together. They even launched a podcast titled “20 Good Summers,” focusing on love and relationships.
After two years of dating, Greenstein proposed to Porizkova in July 2025, prompting the couple to start planning their wedding. They ultimately chose the idyllic Lake Orta as their venue, a place Porizkova had long cherished following a past modelling shoot.
In an amusing twist, Porizkova joked that the destination wedding provided a perfect opportunity for their families to meet while also enjoying a holiday. She shares two sons, Jonathan, 32, and Oliver, 28, from her previous marriage to musician Ric Ocasek, while Greenstein has a son from an earlier relationship.
The wedding ceremony took place in a town hall with a soundtrack provided by Porizkova’s sons and stepson, who performed “The Moldau” by Smetana. Following the vows, guests walked to Villa Crespi, enjoying picturesque views and excellent cuisine. Porizkova described the charming, less touristy location adorned with flowers cascading from balconies, noting the hotel’s Michelin-star restaurant.
Wearing a stunning silver gown from House of Gilles Couture, designed by Gilles Mendel, Porizkova’s elegance was further complemented by her hair and make-up expertly styled by Hos Hounkpatin and Romy Soleimani, respectively. The couple shared their first dance to “Moon River,” which they had been practising at home.
The ceremony was officiated by Greenstein’s brother and sister, while the reception featured tables themed after famous Italian directors. Their guests indulged in a delicious meal crafted by Chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo, including dishes like linguine with baby squid and soused trout.
As the evening progressed, the couple curated a playlist for the dance floor, allowing everyone to celebrate and revel in the joyous occasion. The couple’s wedding rings were custom-designed by Peter Normal jewelers in Los Angeles.
Looking ahead, the newlyweds plan to honeymoon in the Greek Islands, embarking on a leisurely adventure without a set return ticket. Porizkova mentioned that finding a new home in Manhattan is also on their agenda, as her landlord plans to sell her current rental.
Both Porizkova and Greenstein recognise the significance of finding love in their 60s. Greenstein lauded his bride, highlighting her intelligence, quick wit, and passion for social justice, punctuated by his affectionate observation, “And she’s sexy as hell.” As they embark on this new journey together, the couple expresses enthusiasm about exploring life as partners, filled with laughter, travel, and meaningful conversations.
