The couple’s initial wedding took place on June 12, 2021, and they chose to commemorate their fifth anniversary a day later on June 13, 2026. The intimate ceremony was held in the backyard of Briel’s brother’s home in West Bountiful, Utah and aimed to be “simple, timeless, and elegant.” Adam characterised the event as a celebration of how they have both changed and grown together over the years.

“Ultimately, the night was designed for Briel to feel and look beautiful as the woman she has become,” Adam shared with PEOPLE. He pointed out that their original wedding occurred before Briel transitioned, making this anniversary an ideal moment to reflect on their journey and celebrate their current selves. Notably, Briel wanted new photographs in the gown she had always envisioned wearing, which was markedly different from the attire of their first wedding.

Planning for the celebration was relatively stress-free for the couple, as they aimed for a relaxed atmosphere without extravagant demands. Decorations were either repurposed from their own home or sourced from Amazon, with the exception of the flowers, which were arranged by local florist Marissa Howell and helped set the scene for their special day. The couple expressed their preference for ease, saying, “Whatever would be easiest for you! We trust you!” to those assisting with preparations.
A significant aspect of Briel’s celebration was the secret she had to keep regarding her wedding dress, especially from her substantial social media following of over 5.5 million on TikTok and 1.3 million on Instagram. The dress was a specially altered corseted gown that Briel had discovered during a visit to The Bridal Studio in Salt Lake City. Immediately taken by the design, she decided to purchase it on the spot, even though it required extensive alterations. “Everyone was so great to work with!” she remarked about the seamstress team at Pink Seams.
On the day of the ceremony, Briel accessorised with a stunning wedding necklace featuring a vivid pink marquise lab-grown diamond from local jeweller Jewelry by Jing. Her niece, Ambrosia Turek, who had also done her makeup for the original wedding, once again lent her skills for the occasion. The bride’s hair was styled in an elegant manner by Dallan Flint, a local stylist, who was on hand throughout the event for touch-ups.
As Briel walked down the aisle, she was accompanied by the Bridgerton instrumental cover of Taylor Swift’s “Enchanted,” arranged by composer Joseph William Morgan. The couple chose to keep their vows brief and heartfelt, saying, “We said ‘I do’ five years ago, and we have, and we always will.” The ceremony itself lasted under three minutes, focusing on the couple’s mutual love and commitment.
Guests were treated to an array of delightful refreshments following the ceremony, including Costco cookies, a fruit charcuterie platter, and a simple vanilla wedding cake made by their sister-in-law. The evening culminated in a touching moment as the couple chose to recreate a spontaneous act from their first wedding by jumping into the pool. Briel wore a lightweight outfit to protect her dress while Adam, still in his formal suit, joined her for this joyous conclusion.
Photographic documentation of the day was managed by local photographer Justis Noel and content creator Unplugged Bride, as the couple aimed to capture the memories of the celebration. Adam expressed that everything revolved around creating moments to cherish for a lifetime.
The couple’s journey began with a coffee date two weeks after meeting on Tinder in 2020, and since then, they have become inseparable. Briel, who was adopted from Brazil, admires Adam for his patience and hard work, while he appreciates her boldness and generosity. They both believe in the importance of communication and commitment in their marriage, emphasising that it is not about equal contributions but about both partners giving their all to the relationship.
In their reflections, Briel described marriage as a partnership where both individuals support each other through ups and downs. Adam echoed her sentiment, honouring the privilege of sharing both joys and struggles as a couple. As they embark on this next chapter of their life together, they express excitement about the endless possibilities that lie ahead for love, growth, and success.
