Starbucks has announced the launch of a new ready-to-drink beverage designed to bring a popular café experience into the homes of consumers. The coffee giant is set to release its Strawberry Açaí Lemonade Refresher in large 40-ounce bottles, intended for sale in grocery stores across the UK.

This refreshing drink draws inspiration from a well-loved item on the Starbucks menu, aiming to replicate its vibrant and fruity appeal. The beverage, which combines sweet strawberry sensations, tropical açaí notes, and zesty lemonade, is intended to be enjoyed over ice, promising a revitalising sip for those looking to recreate a café atmosphere at home.

The Strawberry Açaí Lemonade Refresher is now available at a variety of national retail stores where Starbucks ready-to-drink products are stocked, with prices differing depending on the retailer. This new addition follows Starbucks’ earlier moves to provide fans with options to make their favourite drinks at home through its Refreshers Concentrates and Sweet Cream Enhancers.
Earlier this year, the company introduced three types of Refreshers Concentrates, enabling customers to easily recreate favourite Starbucks beverages within their own kitchens. The flavours include Strawberry Açaí, Mango Dragonfruit, and a freshly launched Lime Watermelon flavor, which is exclusive to the Concentrate range.
Each Refreshers Concentrate is priced at approximately £14 and comes in a 32-ounce bottle, containing five servings. To prepare the drink, customers mix a specific ratio of concentrate with an additional liquid of their choice, such as lemonade, coconut milk, or simply water, poured over ice. This DIY approach has proven popular with consumers eager to enjoy Starbucks’ beverages outside of the café environment.
Additionally, the brand rolled out Sweet Cream Enhancers which come in three tempting flavours: Vanilla Inspired Sweet Cream, Brown Sugar Inspired Sweet Cream, and White Chocolate Macadamia Inspired Sweet Cream. These enhancers, also available in grocery stores, can be used to recreate the signature sweet cream taste customers often seek from the coffeehouse.
Recently, renowned chef and television personality Kristen Kish collaborated with Starbucks to promote the Sweet Cream Enhancers. Kish expressed the challenge of replicating the unique flavours found in Starbucks’ cafés, noting that it can be difficult to achieve that same authentic taste at home.
“I usually prefer black coffee,” Kish remarked, “but there are occasions when I crave something sweeter.” She acknowledged that consumer preferences vary, particularly during different times of the day, leading her to explore various flavour profiles to shake up her routine.
The growing trend towards ready-to-drink beverages reflects broader changes in consumer habits, particularly following the pandemic, as many people seek convenience without compromising on quality. Starbucks’ new offerings indicate a strategic shift aimed at capturing a larger share of the at-home beverage market.
With this latest release, Starbucks aims to extend its brand presence within grocery aisles, allowing consumers to enjoy their favourite refresher drinks from the comfort of their homes. As interest in at-home drink experiences continues to rise, the coffee giant is well-positioned to cater to this market with its innovative product line-up.
As Starbucks continues to explore new avenues for product distribution, fans can look forward to a wider variety of choices, ensuring that the comforting flavours of their favourite beverages are never far out of reach.
