Charlene, known online as @EyeCharlene, has garnered attention for her candid sharing of her cosmetic surgery experiences. At the age of 23, she underwent her first rhinoplasty, but after almost a decade, she found herself dissatisfied with the results. Recently, the 31-year-old influencer made the decision to undergo a revision rhinoplasty, opting for a procedure in Seoul that cost approximately $13,000.

Initially, Charlene felt uncertainty about the outcome of her first nose job. Although she appreciated the front view of her enhanced nose, it was the side profile that left her feeling disappointed. Her first rhinoplasty at $6,000 taught her the importance of quality, and this time she was prepared to invest significantly more for a desirable outcome.

After thorough consideration, Charlene identified a distinguished surgeon in Seoul, who quoted her $13,000 for the procedure. Friends had recommended travelling to South Korea, a nation known for its expertise in cosmetic surgery. Charlene sought a surgeon experienced in working with diverse nasal structures, particularly Asian noses, emphasizing that she valued a surgeon who would prioritise her unique needs.

During her revision surgery in January, the surgeon removed the silicone from her original operation and utilised cartilage from Charlene’s ribs to sculpt her new nose. This technique, which is becoming increasingly favoured, helps to reduce the risk of infections that may arise from a foreign material being used in the body.

While the procedure did extend her recovery time — an experience she shared in detail on TikTok — Charlene expressed satisfaction with her new appearance. “Now, it looks remarkably similar to my natural nose,” she remarked, affirming that she is much happier with the results this time around.

Reflecting on her journey, Charlene underscored the critical importance of selecting the right surgeon. She hopes that sharing her story will encourage others considering cosmetic surgery to conduct comprehensive research. “Make sure to look at portfolios, including before-and-after photos, and focus on long-term results,” she advised.
