Bozoma reflected on the meaning of her own collection of rings, stating that two others she wears are also significant. One was purchased in Jaipur, India, shortly after she took off her wedding rings following the passing of her first husband, Peter Saint John, who died from cancer in 2013. The other ring was acquired during her attendance at Priyanka Chopra’s wedding to Nick Jonas in 2018. “I bought this ring for myself because I thought, ‘I don’t want to wait for an eternity band.’”
Recalling the emotional journey she experienced attending Chopra’s wedding solo, Bozoma spoke of those feelings and the strong empowerment that came from making a significant purchase for herself: “I was getting all the emotions where I was like, ‘I don’t want to have to wait the rest of my life for somebody to come and give me an eternity band.’”
