The 36-year-old weekend anchor revealed that her time on the popular ABC daytime programme had come to an unexpected end, expressing her love for both her colleagues and the audience.

In her heartfelt message, Norman reflected on her journey at GMA, stating, “It has been a joy to connect with my coworkers and with viewers, to help keep you informed and entertained, and to create this community.” Her tone was tinged with regret as she acknowledged the abruptness of her exit, remarking, “I hope that we’d have more time.”
Norman’s departure follows the expiration of her contract, which was not renewed by the network, as reported earlier by the independent newsletter Status. She had spent 15 years at ABC, having started as an intern at NewsOne in 2011 before climbing the ranks to become a significant presence on Good Morning America.
In her parting words, Norman expressed sorrow over the lack of an official farewell. “It really breaks my heart that I don’t get to say goodbye,” she lamented, emphasising how meaningful it would have been to share a proper farewell with her viewers and colleagues.
However, despite her sadness, Norman is looking ahead to a new chapter in her life. She revealed her excitement about dedicating more time to her three young children, stating, “I have worked weekends their whole lives.
