Music producer Desmond Child has revealed plans for a festive album featuring the cast of the hit HBO series, *The Gilded Age*. Titled *Voices of The Gilded Age: The Christmas Album*, the release is set to delight fans as the holiday season approaches. The album boasts performances from several of the show’s prominent actors, including Carrie Coon, Audra McDonald, and Morgan Spector.

The project, produced by Child, reflects his enthusiasm as both a fan of the series and a seasoned music producer. “I’ve been waiting my whole life to make this record, and I’m still in awe that I was able to bring it to life alongside some of Broadway’s most extraordinary voices,” Child commented. He expressed his excitement about creating a loving tribute to cherished Christmas songs and the legendary artists who have contributed to the music industry.

Scheduled for release under Concord Theatricals Recordings on November 6, the album includes a variety of seasonal classics alongside original tracks. The group of talented performers features Denée Benton, Ben Ahlers, Christine Baranski, Laura Benanti, Jordan Donica, and several others. Each contributing artist will perform timeless holiday songs such as “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Let It Snow,” and “O Holy Night.”
On September 25, Ahlers unveiled the single “The World Needs Some Christmas,” which is currently available for streaming. This first taste of the album sets an optimistic tone for the festive collection, as the cast prepares to spread seasonal cheer through their music.
The announcement comes as *The Gilded Age* gears up for its fourth season, set to premiere on November 1. The new series of episodes promises to continue captivating audiences, much like its predecessors, with compelling storytelling and rich character development. Executive producer and writer Sonja Warfield attributed the show’s success to its weekly release schedule on HBO, suggesting that it cultivates a sense of community among viewers, allowing for shared experiences and discussions around the episodes.
“We don’t really necessarily have that water cooler talk because people are watching all different things at different times,” she noted in a conversation last year. The show’s format invites audiences to come together weekly, fostering a collective engagement that has become increasingly rare in today’s on-demand viewing landscape.
As fans eagerly anticipate both the new season and the upcoming album, the fusion of *The Gilded Age*’s storytelling with musical performances promises to enhance the overall viewing experience. The album aims to resonate not only with the show’s followers but also with anyone looking for a heartwarming soundtrack to accompany the festive period.
With the captivating narratives of *The Gilded Age* coupled with heartfelt renditions of holiday favourites, fans can look forward to a unique blend of television and music that embodies the spirit of the season. The anticipation surrounding both the album and the series suggests that this holiday period may indeed turn into a very Gilded Christmas for fans and newcomers alike.
As the release date of November 6 draws nearer, the excitement continues to build, setting a festive tone for audiences as they prepare to tune into the new season just days before the album’s debut. With so much to look forward to, it’s clear that the combined talents of this remarkable cast are set to make a memorable impact on screens and sound systems throughout the holiday season.
