Man Accused of Setting Multiple Fires to Kill Spiders, Igniting Blaze That Caused Damage to Several Homes

Authorities in Pennsylvania are on the lookout for Sean McDermott, a 36-year-old man, who is wanted on multiple charges, including arson. This follows a series of events that allegedly led him to set several fires within a townhome in Pocono Pines, a situation that caused significant property damage, ultimately affecting not only his home but also three neighbouring residences.

The incident began on 23 February at approximately 6 p.m. when emergency services were alerted to a fire on Uncus Lane. According to reports, he allegedly ignited small fires inside the property and justified his actions by stating that he “needed to kill the spiders within the residence.”
