AnnaBelle Warner, a hairstylist, had her engagement day take an unexpected turn recently when she had to get her ring cut off her finger just hours after the proposal. The incident occurred on Saturday, Oct. 25 in Ohio, shortly after Warner’s then-boyfriend, Will Munhall, popped the question.

The proposal itself was a heartfelt moment as they visited Warner’s family farm, where her childhood cow, Buttercup, was adorned with a sign reading “Will You Marry Me?” Despite the romantic gesture, the joy was short-lived as the engagement ring turned out to be a tight fit from the moment it was placed on Warner’s finger.
Warner had shared that Munhall had bought the ring during a trip to Ireland and had to estimate her ring size based on other rings she owned. Despite the initial discomfort, Warner was thrilled to be engaged and brushed off the tightness of the ring during the proposal.
As the evening progressed, Warner began to feel the ring tightening on her finger even more. Concerned about the swelling, she insisted they find a way to remove the ring before going to bed. Attempts to remove the ring using various methods like ice and dish soap proved futile, leading them to seek help from the local fire department.
With the help of the firefighters, the ring was successfully cut off in just fifteen minutes. Warner admitted feeling a bit panicked at the thought of not being able to fix the ring once it was cut. However, a visit to the jeweler the next day brought relief as the jeweler assured her that the ring could be repaired.
Fortunately, less than a week later, Warner was reunited with her ring, now perfectly mended. Despite the unexpected hiccup, Warner and Munhall were able to look back on the engagement day positively, emphasizing that the entire experience, despite its challenges, was perfect in its own way.
Warner and Munhall, who met about a year and a half ago, reflected on the memorable engagement day by sharing photos on social media. Warner expressed her joy, calling it “the easiest ‘yes’ of my life,” and highlighting that even with the ring incident, she wouldn’t change a thing about that special day.
The couple’s engagement story serves as a reminder that sometimes, even the most meticulously planned moments can take unexpected turns. Despite the initial setback, the love and commitment shared between Warner and Munhall prevailed, making their engagement day a truly unforgettable experience.
