In an interview with the AP, Kaewket expressed her surprise and dismay at the situation, asserting that the tattoos could be easily removed since they were done using just a tool, specifically a sewing needle attached to a pen. She detailed that though the removal process took only 15 minutes to complete, an additional hour was required to let the anaesthetic take effect due to the boy’s young age.

In an act of kindness, Kaewket did not stop at addressing the tattoo on Kao’s forehead; she also tackled over ten other spots on his legs that had been marked by the bullies. The artist shared that the boy confided in her, explaining that his compliance with the adults’ instructions led him to undergo the tattooing. Kaewket mentioned that multiple sessions would be necessary to fully erase all the marks left by the bullies.
