Savannah James, wife of NBA superstar LeBron James, has recently opened up about the challenges of managing her family’s life across multiple cities. Speaking on the podcast “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer,” Savannah revealed the complexities that have arisen since LeBron’s transfer to the Philadelphia 76ers this past July. She described her current reality as “crazy,” highlighting the difficulties of balancing her responsibilities in Los Angeles, New York City, and Philadelphia, while also supporting her children.

“I have to figure out how to be in three places at once,” Savannah expressed, acknowledging the stress that comes with such a demanding schedule. As LeBron integrates into his new team in Philadelphia, Savannah has found herself juggling a plethora of commitments across various locations. The couple’s son, Bryce, is also pursuing his basketball career at the University of Arizona, making the family’s logistical planning even more complex. “So along with his season, he’s everywhere else. So, trying to plan my life out like that is a little crazy for me right now,” she added.
The dynamic nature of her family’s lifestyle has not gone unnoticed. Savannah pointed out that New York City has become the central hub for their family, but navigating between Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and Tucson, Arizona, where Bryce attends school, presents a logistical challenge. Each child is exploring their own path, with Savannah and LeBron also overseeing the various demands that come from their sons, Bronny and Bryce, and their youngest daughter, Zhuri Nova.

Podcast host Keke Palmer remarked on the extensive organisation required to maintain such a hectic routine, to which Savannah readily agreed. “It is a full-time job,” she said. Her candid reflections indicate that small disruptions can significantly impact her day-to-day life, necessitating meticulous scheduling and coordination to keep everything running smoothly.

Turning 40 has marked a transformative period for Savannah, allowing her to approach changes within her family with greater ease and confidence. Reflecting on LeBron’s move, she admitted that in her younger years, such a transition would have caused her considerable anxiety. “If you [told] me LeBron was going to Philly five years ago, I’d be like, ‘Huh, well, we gotta pack up everything, Zhuri. I don’t care how you feel. We… are going.’”
However, she has since adopted a more serene stance on these transitions. “So now I’m just, like, a lot more, okay and calm and everything is going to be okay,” she explained, alluding to the progress she has made in her personal growth. Savannah’s ability to adapt has allowed her to face each new adventure with a newfound tranquillity.
Moreover, the shift in her perspective has significantly influenced how she perceives the adjustments her children are undergoing. From LeBron’s career change in Philadelphia to Zhuri entering middle school, Savannah is learning to embrace these changes with optimism. “LeBron going to play in Philly, it’s gonna be an adjustment. It is gonna work out,” she assured.
Savannah acknowledged the rapid pace at which her children are growing and living their own lives. “But I think the way that it feels for me is that I feel different in myself in like the work that I’ve done and the way that I wanted to feel going into this milestone age,” she stated.
As she enters this new decade, Savannah appears grateful and content, expressing happiness with the progress she has made in terms of self-acceptance and family dynamics. Her journey through the complexities of balancing motherhood, marriage, and a rapidly changing lifestyle serves as an insightful reminder of the resilience required to maintain family ties amidst the demands of high-profile careers and individual pursuits.
