Tara Lipinski’s daughter, Georgie, has made her debut on the ice, showcasing her burgeoning talent at just three years old. The former Olympic figure skating champion took to Instagram to share this proud moment, posting videos and photos of Georgie’s performance, which was met with enthusiastic support from family and friends.

On Sunday, October 25, Lipinski shared a glimpse of the day’s events via her Instagram Stories. The little skater, donned in a sparkling pink dress paired with a glittery purple helmet, elicited cheers from a vibrant audience, which included her father, Todd Kapostasy, and several aunts. Capturing the atmosphere, Lipinski referred to the occasion as “show day,” embellishing her post with a cheerful unicorn emoji.

The highlight of the day was Georgie’s performance, during which she gracefully skated to Chappell Roan’s catchy track “Pink Pony Club.” Encouraging her daughter from the sidelines, Lipinski was heard saying, “You got it girl, put your hands on your hips.” Her pride was palpable as she cheered, along with friends, while the young skater delighted the audience with her routine.
Lipinski took a moment to express her joy on social media, captioning one of the videos, “Here’s our pink pony girl! She did so well 😭.” Georgie’s efforts were met with applause as she danced on ice, showcasing her joy and energy, performing a fun move known as the “roll it.”
The emotional impact of the performance was not lost on Georgie’s family. In a subsequent clip, her aunts were visibly moved, shedding tears of pride and joy. As one aunt commented on their emotional state, it was clear that the experience resonated deeply with the family.
In a tender moment captured after the performance, Lipinski held her daughter, asking, “Are you proud of yourself? Do you feel so proud of yourself?” She followed this with a loving kiss on Georgie’s forehead, encapsulating the pride and joy of such milestones in a child’s life. The little skater was seen relaxing in her silver shoes on her father’s lap, clearly pleased with her day.
Lipinski also credited the designer of Georgie’s striking dress, Brad Griffies, expressing her gratitude for the beautiful attire that the young skater simply did not want to take off.
Georgie’s interest in ice skating is not a recent development, as Lipinski previously shared insights into her daughter’s aspirations. Last month, the proud mother revealed that during her first day at preschool, Georgie indicated that she wanted to be an ice skater when she grows up. This aligns with her affection for skating, expounded further in previous interviews where Lipinski mentioned introducing Georgie to the sport as early as nine months old.
The former champion noted the ups and downs of this journey, particularly as they had encountered disruptions due to circumstances such as the Palisades fire. “Unfortunately, we were part of the Palisades fire, so the last few months we have not been skating, but I plan to get her back out there again,” Lipinski shared earlier this year.
Clearly, both mother and daughter share a bond that continues to grow through their shared love for ice skating. With Georgie already demonstrating her skills and enthusiasm for the sport, it will certainly be fascinating to see how her journey develops in the years to come.
