On July 7, Universal Celestial Goodnight made its much-anticipated debut at Universal Epic Universe, the latest addition to the Universal Orlando Resort. This new nighttime extravaganza promises to transform evenings in the theme park into a dazzling spectacle, showcasing stunning visuals and an energetic soundtrack.
Taking centre stage at Celestial Park, the cosmic-themed heart of Universal Epic Universe, the show showcases an impressive arrangement of nearly 600 synchronised light fixtures and more than 350 large fountains. The display utilises a staggering seven million LED lights to create captivating scenes inspired by the many attractions within the park.
According to Universal Orlando Resort, the enchanted experience is inspired by popular themes from areas across the park. Visitors can expect allusions to beloved franchises such as Super Nintendo World and cinematic classics like How to Train Your Dragon. Additionally, the magical realms of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the thrilling essence of the Universal Monsters are represented, creating a rich tapestry of entertainment.
Culminating in a breathtaking fireworks display, Universal Celestial Goodnight serves as a grand finale to an action-packed day. The immersive blend of music, lights, and excitement has been designed to leave visitors in awe as the park closes for the night.
This spectacular show will run nightly when the park concludes its day, providing guests with a chance to enjoy this unique experience. It is set to capture the imagination, fostering a sense of wonder and magic as guests gather to watch.
Looking ahead, the excitement does not end with the beginning of Universal Celestial Goodnight. The Universal Orlando Resort has announced plans for Universal Nights at Epic Universe later this year, promising to extend the enchantment into the night.
Scheduled for two special evenings on October 3 and October 17, Universal Nights will allow park-goers to enjoy a host of activities in an exclusive after-hours setting. Limited-capacity tickets will provide access to various attractions, unique entertainment options, and character interactions. Guests will also be treated to complimentary specialty snacks and beverages throughout the event.
Universal Nights is set to operate from 9:00 PM to midnight on the event nights, with early arrivals permitted from 7:00 PM. This offers guests the opportunity to experience Celestial Goodnight before the main festivities begin.
Tickets for this limited-engagement event will go on sale starting August 13, with prices beginning at £179.99 plus tax per person. With just a few months until the events roll out, anticipation is already building among fans eager to experience the magic that Universal Epic Universe has to offer.
As Universal Celestial Goodnight lights up the night sky, it promises to be a memorable part of the Universal Orlando Resort experience, setting a new standard for nighttime entertainment in theme parks. With its spectacular displays and immersive themes, this new show is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.
