Popular influencer Alix Earle has shared an unexpected health update with her followers, revealing that she injured her back during a seemingly mundane moment. In a candid TikTok video posted on May 6, Earle, 25, recounted the incident, which occurred while she was preparing for an event.

The social media star described the moment leading up to her injury, explaining that while attempting to quickly retrieve her phone from the floor, she felt a sudden and intense pain in her lower back. “I dropped my phone, and I went to really quickly pick it up, and I bent over, and my whole entire lower back just seized up,” she shared. The unexpected pain caused her to fall from her chair, leaving her momentarily incapacitated.

Earle wasn’t alone at the time of her mishap; she was also managing her dog Asia, whose leash she held as maintenance workers carried out repairs in her home. Concerned for her pet’s well-being amidst the commotion, she sought to keep Asia calm. However, the pain was so severe that Earle found herself unable to stand. “It felt like sharp pain all down my back and my legs,” she said, revealing that she ended up on the floor in tears as people moved about her house.

In her video, Earle mentioned that she attempted to call friends to help take care of Asia while she recovered, but unfortunately, no one was available. She also had medical professionals come to her home to assess her condition before preparing to attend the Alix Earle Scholarship event at the University of Miami, where she was set to honour a student recipient.
Reflecting on her predicament, Earle commented on the possibility of using a wheelchair to navigate events, noting her disdain for feeling incapacitated. “We’re looking at if I should have a wheelchair to go, because I can’t move. And I’m someone who does not like to quit,” she remarked, highlighting her determination even in the face of such a setback.
Ultimately, Earle arranged for Asia to stay with someone else temporarily, although she admitted that this wasn’t her ideal choice for a dog-sitter. “Asia is at someone else’s house right now, and I’m sort of embarrassed, but I’m also like, maybe the universe is working in weird ways,” she reflected, adding a touch of humour to an otherwise distressing situation.
The influencer’s candid disclosure extended beyond her injury, touching on her recent reflections about her personal life. Earle expressed that the past few weeks have prompted her to think deeply about her physical health and the various shifts occurring around her. “I’ve been praying a lot, I don’t know if things are falling into place by falling out of place,” she stated, hinting at the life lessons she has recently encountered.
She also alluded to changes in her relationships, noting that some individuals have suddenly exited her life while others have returned. This period of introspection comes as Earle has been actively participating in the festivities surrounding Miami Race Week, where she has been seen reconnecting with her ex-boyfriend, Braxton Berrios, a wide receiver for the Houston Texans.
On April 30, Earle and Berrios were spotted sharing a friendly conversation at a party hosted by Sports Illustrated and Authentic Brands Group at The Surf Club Restaurant in Miami. The encounter marks another chapter in the influencer’s rapidly evolving narrative, which she continues to share with her dedicated audience.
As she navigates both her health challenges and personal relationships, Alix Earle remains a relatable figure for her followers, offering glimpses into her life with both its ups and downs. With resilience at the core of her message, she reminds her audience of the importance of appreciating one’s health and the support of loved ones in times of need.
