Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of NBC’s ‘Today’, has taken to social media in a heartfelt appeal for information regarding the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie. The anchor’s recent post aims to raise awareness about the FBI’s tip line as the search continues for her mother, who has been missing since February 1.

In a post shared on Instagram on Friday, February 27, Guthrie re-emphasised the critical need for the public’s assistance and included a clip from the ‘Today’ show where her colleagues discussed the functionality of the FBI’s tip line. “Please – be the one that brings her home,” she urged, emphasising that tips can be submitted anonymously and cash rewards are available for pertinent information.
The family has escalated the reward for information related to Nancy’s recovery to a staggering £1 million, reflecting the desperate situation. Savannah further clarified that the reward is strictly associated with Nancy’s recovery, in alignment with the FBI’s criteria for reward payments. “Call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324). NOTE: Family reward of up to $1 million will be paid only for recovery of Nancy Guthrie,” she stated.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31, after having dinner with family. Her absence became apparent when she failed to attend a virtual church service the following day, leading her family to report her missing. Investigators from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, in conjunction with the FBI, suspect that Nancy may have been kidnapped by an armed assailant, with surveillance footage capturing a man tampering with her doorbell camera on the day she went missing.
In a previous update, Savannah revealed that the reward for information had been increased significantly to $1 million, while the FBI’s original reward of £100,000 remains in effect. Furthermore, the family has made a commendable contribution of £500,000 to the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, alongside their ongoing efforts to locate Nancy. “We are not alone in our loss,” Savannah expressed, recognising that many families endure similar heart-wrenching experiences.
