In a tragic incident that shook the city of Philadelphia, eight people lost their lives when a Med Jets Flight 056 crashed on January 31. Among the victims were a mother and her daughter, who were engulfed in flames and incinerated, according to a lawsuit filed by the estates of the victims, Dr. Raul Meza Arredondo and Lizeth Murillo Osuna.
The lawsuit, filed on November 17, alleged negligence on the part of the jet company, Med Jets, for the fatal crash. They claimed negligence on the part of the company for inadequately maintaining the aircraft, as well as for the lack of proper training for the pilots and flight crew.
Notably, the National Transportation Safety Board’s preliminary report highlighted concerning findings, such as the non-functioning cockpit voice recorder and the absence of distress calls from the flight crew to air traffic controllers.
