The incident occurred while FunBucketKustoms was riding his moped, which he described as being completely wrecked alongside himself. “Now I am totaled, and also the moped is totaled,” he expressed in a video post. His unique way of putting things resonated with many as he likened the situation to being “messed up like a soup sandwich.”

In his subsequent posts, FunBucketKustoms opened up about the injuries he sustained. His left leg had suffered catastrophic damage, broken in approximately 15 places, and his pelvis was also fractured. Prior to his discharge from the hospital, he experienced a life-threatening moment when he was reportedly not breathing and had to be revived with a defibrillator. “I’m lucky to be alive right now,” he said, expressing profound gratitude for a second chance at life. “God gave me a second chance at life. So we’re going to have to figure this whole second chance of life out together.”
Unfortunately, alongside these physical challenges, he also faces financial difficulties stemming from his treatment, as he does not have health insurance. To alleviate this burden, he set up a GoFundMe campaign aimed at raising funds for his medical expenses. The outpouring of support from his online community has left him overwhelmed. He expressed his appreciation, saying, “The love that I have gotten from y’all is insane.” Messages of encouragement and prayers from his followers have bolstered his spirit, as he acknowledged: “I have got everybody in the whole world just rooting for me to get out of this wheelchair.”
FunBucketKustoms is determined to remain optimistic about his rehabilitation. He asked for a bit of time as he works towards regaining his mobility, demonstrating an admirable spirit amid adversity. “Just give me a little bit of time to get my butt up out of this wheelchair,” he optimistically urged his viewers.
Once he begins to regain his strength, he has plans to return to his passion for cars, hinting at his intention to purchase something frivolous from online marketplaces as a celebratory act of independence. “The first thing we’re gonna do once I’m out this wheelchair is we’re gonna go buy something stupid from Marketplace,” he shared, displaying a sense of humour that has endeared him to his audience.
The accident serves as a stark reminder of the risks associated with riding motorised vehicles, particularly for younger riders. While FunBucketKustoms has made strides in sharing his recovery journey, it also highlights the importance of safety measures and the potential consequences of accidents.
As social media continues to offer platforms for connection and support, FunBucketKustoms’ experience invites many to reflect on the power of community. His updates not only provide followers with an insight into his personal struggles but have fostered a sense of solidarity that many fans find uplifting.
