Priscilla Presley and her son, Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, recently made a notable appearance together at an Elvis Presley-themed event in Baesweiler, Germany. During the event, Priscilla, now 81, was visibly pleased as she signed the town’s “golden book,” which records the signatures of distinguished visitors. Following her welcoming remarks to the audience, she introduced Navarone, who expressed his delight in joining her for the trip. “I’m just happy to be travelling with my mum,” he stated, while acknowledging the kind reception they received from the crowd.

Navarone, aged 39, is Priscilla’s only child from her long partnership with Marco Garibaldi, which ended in 2006 after more than two decades. The actress also shares a daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, who tragically passed away in January 2023 at the age of 54.
In a previously published interview with PEOPLE magazine, Priscilla was candid about her challenges while helping Navarone overcome addiction. She recounted that he reached out to her for assistance shortly after the heartbreaking loss of his cousin, Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide. Seeking to break free from fentanyl, Navarone faced a difficult path to recovery, requiring Priscilla’s support in managing his withdrawal symptoms.
Recalling their experience, Priscilla shared, “I would be in bed with him, and he’d say, ‘My legs hurt, my legs hurt.’ I’d get up and massage his legs.” She described the intense struggles associated with withdrawal, emphasising how many individuals battling addiction find it hard to recover. Navarone endured 22 days of withdrawal before beginning to improve, but later faced a relapse involving heroin.
Priscilla noted a pivotal moment when Navarone came to her, expressing his desire to quit drugs for good, stating, “I don’t want to hurt you anymore. Will you help me?” Priscilla readily agreed, offering her home and support as he navigated the challenging recovery journey. She described the experience as harrowing, ultimately revealing that Navarone has successfully achieved sobriety and has remained in a good place since then.
“Navarone has been sober ever since, so I’m really happy for him,” Priscilla shared, expressing her pride in their progress. “It took a long time, but Navarone was ready. I got lucky.” Their relationship appears to have strengthened through these trials, enabling them to support each other’s well-being.
Earlier this summer, Navarone made headlines for launching a GoFundMe campaign to finance his dream of opening an organic pizza business from his driveway in Los Angeles. The campaign aimed to raise $5,500 for an industrial pizza oven, though it attracted criticism from some who questioned why he didn’t seek financial help from his mother. In response to the negativity, Navarone took to social media to clarify that he had financial responsibilities of his own, stating, “Haters gonna hate… I also have a lot of bills, I also have a budget.”
Despite the criticism, Navarone conveyed that Priscilla supports his entrepreneurial aspirations and acknowledges the practicalities involved in pursuing his ideas. He remarked, “I can’t ask for money for every whimsical idea I have or we both would be broke.”
As Priscilla and Navarone continue to navigate their lives and careers, their recent public appearance in Baesweiler highlights the importance of their bond and resilience in the face of personal challenges. Their story serves as an inspiring testament to the power of family support and the journey towards healing and self-discovery.
