Dave Coulier has paid tribute to his late friend and co-star Bob Saget during a recent panel discussion at ‘90s Con in Connecticut. The event saw a reunion of several cast members from the beloved sitcom *Full House*, which originally aired from 1987 to 1995. Among those present were Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, John Stamos, Jodie Sweetin, Scott Weinger, and Andrea Barber, all of whom gathered to share fond memories and moments from their time on the show.

The nostalgia-filled panel, moderated by Breanne L. Heldman, executive editor at PEOPLE, took place on October 18 and highlighted the close-knit nature of the cast. Coulier, who is now 67 years old, recounted the dynamic on set, particularly with Saget and Stamos, as they navigated the challenges of working alongside child actors.

Reflecting on their playful antics while the younger cast members were offscreen, Coulier shared a humorous story. “When you guys were kids,” he began, addressing Cameron Bure, Sweetin, and Barber, “me, John, and Bob would be doing a scene, and you guys would be in the school room or in your dressing rooms.” He reminisced about the freedom they felt when the children were not present, joking about their antics that were sometimes caught by show mothers monitoring the scene.
Coulier also emphasised how the cast’s camaraderie extended beyond filming. He remembered gatherings at Stamos’ home, where barbecues and family-like get-togethers fostered lasting friendships among the group. “It was all of us,” he said. “So we were like a family all the time. And you guys were like our kids.” Cameron Bure chimed in to recall that Coulier once took her to the circus and her first hockey game, further illustrating the warm bonds that formed on and off the set.
Tragically, Bob Saget passed away on January 9, 2022, following an unwitnessed fall that resulted in blunt head trauma. His death shocked fans and colleagues alike, leaving behind a legacy as the endearing patriarch of the Tanner family. Coulier’s commemoration of Saget during the panel is a testament to their deep friendship and the impact Saget had on the entire cast.
In the wake of his friend’s passing, Coulier has also faced his own health challenges. He revealed in November 2024 that he had been diagnosed with stage three non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Fortunately, he shared the news of his remission just five months later. However, in December 2025, he announced a new cancer diagnosis, specifically p16 squamous carcinoma, a cancer type located at the base of his tongue, but again reported that he was in remission as of February of this year.
The enduring legacy of *Full House* is not just in its episodes, but significantly in the relationships formed by its cast members. Following its original run, many of them reunited for *Fuller House*, the sequel series that aired from 2016 to 2020, allowing fans to reconnect with the characters they loved so dearly.
Amidst the challenges faced over the years, Coulier’s reflections at the recent convention serve as a heartwarming reminder of the joy and laughter that characterised *Full House*. As the cast members continue to celebrate their friendship and shared history, the bond they formed—first as colleagues and then as family—remains a bright light in their lives, even in the wake of loss.
Fans of the show will undoubtedly cherish these recollections, reflecting on how the series not only provided entertainment during its original run but also created lasting relationships that have withstood the test of time. As Coulier and his colleagues continue to honour Saget’s memory, they remind us all of the importance of friendship, laughter, and family, both on-screen and off.
