Supermodel Paulina Porizkova recently shared an amusing anecdote from her wedding to television writer Jeff Greenstein, which took place on July 3 at Villa Crespi in Northern Italy. In a video posted on Instagram on October 12, Porizkova revealed that she had forgotten her carefully arranged bridal bouquet at the hotel when it was time to leave for the ceremony. The clip features the supermodel gracefully walking along the charming cobblestone streets, dressed in a stunning silver gown and veil, as a photographer captured the moments leading up to the wedding. The footage then cuts to a photo of the beautiful bouquet, showcasing bright yellow, orange, and peach flowers, which unfortunately were left behind.

Porizkova humourously narrated, “Now, here’s the beautiful bouquet that the florist had made me for the wedding — and that I had forgotten in the hotel.” Moments after sharing this revelation, the video shows her friend, in a light-hearted attempt to salvage the situation, plucking pink flowers from a nearby planter. “We’re going to get arrested,” her friend joked, as Porizkova quickly fashioned the handful of blossoms into a makeshift bouquet.

Despite the last-minute improvisation, Porizkova gathered her new flowers with a smile, exclaiming, “Okay, I’m ready! They’re playing the song,” before making her way to the altar. During the outdoor ceremony by Lake Orta, both Greenstein and their guests were blissfully unaware of the floral blunder.
In the caption accompanying her post, Porizkova noted, “All the best weddings need a moment of imperfection — the salt in the caramel — as my, um, HUSBAND says. And here was mine.” She expressed gratitude towards her friends, acknowledging their significant role in saving the day, and emphasised the love that made the occasion truly unforgettable. “Walking myself down the aisle as befitting a woman no one is ‘giving away’ but through all this love — to my love,” she added.
Lake Orta holds special significance for Porizkova, who has fond memories associated with the picturesque location from her modelling days. Speaking previously about their wedding, she described it as a destination celebration, offering family and friends a chance to enjoy a holiday together, humorously noting that they were all “forced to meet”.
The wedding ceremony was held outside the town hall, followed by a reception at the opulent Villa Crespi, a 19th-century Moorish Revival hotel renowned for its fine dining. Porizkova remarked on the serene atmosphere of the area, where tourists are few and the stunning architecture is complemented by flowers cascading from balconies. The villa’s three-Michelin-starred restaurant was a highlight of the reception.
Greenstein, who proposed to Porizkova last summer, conveyed how deeply fortunate they both feel to have found one another at this stage in their lives. “She’s the best-read person in the world,” he said admiringly, praising his wife’s intelligence, quick wit, and insightful nature. He further remarked on her commitment to family and social justice, highlighting the multitude of languages she speaks as impressive attributes.
Porizkova’s wedding, filled with love, laughter, and a touch of spontaneity, stands as a testament to the joy of celebrating life’s imperfections. As they embark on this new chapter together, both Porizkova and Greenstein appear to cherish the precious moments they have created alongside their loved ones, reinforcing the idea that sometimes, unexpected situations can make memories even more special.
