Former NFL quarterback Tony Romo has faced legal repercussions following an arrest for drink-driving in his hometown of Milwaukee on July 23. Reports indicate that Romo’s blood-alcohol level registered at 0.15, which is nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08 in Wisconsin.

According to court documents acquired by NBC affiliate TMJ 4, Romo, now a CBS analyst, was pulled over after allegedly changing lanes unsafely while returning from a golf tournament. Authorities approached his vehicle after detecting a strong smell of alcohol, and Romo reportedly did not perform well on standard field sobriety tests. He also declined to undergo a breathalyser test, as revealed in bodycam footage from the arrest.
On September 1, Romo pleaded no contest to charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. As a consequence, he has had his driving licence revoked for six months.
