Dolly’s manager, Danny Nozell, highlighted that the festival was a vision inspired by the icon herself. He stated, “What Dolly started, we will ensure is brought to life,” emphasising the importance of fulfilling her dream.
Nozell explained that venue arrangements had been finalised and an official announcement was set to go public prior to Parton withdrawing from the event due to her health challenges. “We had the venue booked and we had the announcement ready to go. And then, in August 2025, Dolly had to take a step back after her initial health challenges,” he related in the press release.
