Her family confirmed that she died in her home in Studio City, California, on 18 August. Suggs had been bravely battling breast cancer since her diagnosis at the age of 24, demonstrating remarkable resilience throughout her struggle.

Born in Texas, Suggs made a significant impact on the television industry with her creative contributions. She played a vital role as a writer-producer for “My Life With The Walter Boys,” a series that debuted in 2023. The show follows a teenager navigating life alongside her guardian’s large family after experiencing a tragic loss. The third season premiered on 6 August, continuing the story after a health scare involving the family patriarch, George, portrayed by Mark Blucas.
Suggs had an impressive background with various credits to her name, including work on “Parenthood,” “As We See It,” and “It’s Not Like That.” Initially serving as a story editor in the first season of “My Life With The Walter Boys,” she progressed to become a co-producer for the subsequent seasons. According to reports, she had already begun writing for the show’s anticipated fourth season.
Her sister, Liz, shared poignant reflections on Suggs’ journey and her unwavering spirit during her battle with cancer.
