Rory Culkin, one of Hollywood’s well-known acting trio, spoke candidly about his experiences in the industry and the dynamics within his famous family during a recent gala event. The 37-year-old actor attended the New York City premiere of his latest Apple TV series, *Nocturne*, which took place on 20 October 2023. This event has brought renewed attention to the family of talented siblings, all of whom launched their careers at a remarkably young age.
In an interview with *PEOPLE*, Rory shared fascinating insights about the valuable piece of advice bestowed upon him by his illustrious older brothers, Macaulay and Kieran Culkin. Despite the trio’s shared profession, Rory noted that work-related discussions amongst the siblings are rare. “We don’t really talk about work or even fatherhood,” he explained, showcasing the importance of maintaining personal boundaries within professional life.

However, the advice from his brothers has left a lasting impression on Rory. “Their insight was straightforward: ‘You’ll figure it out. Everyone does, you know? So just don’t worry,’” Rory recalled, revealing the level of support he receives from his family. This sentiment is particularly poignant given the pressures of growing up in the public eye, a reality all three brothers faced early on.

Macaulay Culkin, aged 46, gained immense fame for his role as the mischievous Kevin McCallister in the iconic *Home Alone* films during the 1990s. Kieran Culkin, now 44, also made his mark in the franchise, playing Kevin’s cousin, Fuller. Rory made his acting debut in *Richie Rich* in 1994, portraying a younger version of the titular character, which marked the start of his professional journey in cinema.
Beyond their individual accomplishments, the Culkin brothers, along with their siblings Christian, 50, and Shane, 48, recently collaborated for the first time in an episode of the animated series *The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy*, which aired in February 2024. The Culkin family also includes a sister, Quinn, 41, and a half-sister named Jennifer Adamson, 56. Sadly, they lost their sibling Dakota “Cody” Culkin in 2008 after a tragic accident.
At the premiere, Rory also took a moment to discuss his new role as a father. He and his partner, Kate Arizmendi, welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Havoc Moon, on 23 May. The new dad described parenthood as an enriching but challenging experience. “It’s been lovely so far,” he expressed. “Everyone warned me about how difficult it could be, and while it is, that burden is overshadowed by the love you feel.”
Becoming a parent has shifted Rory’s perspective on time. He explained, “Having a child introduces you to time, and now everything just feels a little heavier.” The emotional weight of saying goodbye to his daughter often brings tears to his eyes on train rides, illustrating the deep connection he feels as a father. “There’s just more gravity now, you know?” he stated, capturing the profound changes that accompany parenthood.
Rory also mentioned a light-hearted shift in family dynamics since he has welcomed his daughter. “I used to be the youngest Culkin, but that changed when others began having kids,” he laughed. “Now that I have the youngest Culkin, I reclaim the throne.” This playful remark highlights the enduring sibling camaraderie and competition among the Culkin brothers.
As anticipation builds for the release of *Nocturne*, which Premieres on 30 October on Apple TV, fans of Rory and his brothers are eager to see what this latest venture brings. With each new project, Rory continues to carve out his own niche, while simultaneously honouring the legacy of his family.
