Body Found in Search for Solar Eclipse Cruise Passenger Who Went Overboard in North Sea

A tragic incident unfolded on August 21 when a passenger went missing from Ambassador Cruise Line’s vessel, the MS Ambition, during a cruise in Scotland. The ship was in the process of travelling from Lerwick to Dundee as part of its 2026 Solar Eclipse Cruise when the alarm was raised, reporting that a man had fallen overboard.

Ship staff reported the missing passenger to the authorities around 8:55 AM local time, stating that the man had likely fallen from the vessel while it was navigating the North Sea.
