A Missouri-based mum and travel agent, Bobbie Schieber, has become a sensation online after sharing a heartwarming “pixie dusting” moment that her family experienced during a recent visit to Disney World. Schieber, who frequently travels to Disney parks, described how her family was unexpectedly upgraded to a luxurious suite at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, a memorable experience that she recounted in a video shared on social media.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Schieber expressed her astonishment at the upgrade, noting that the moment felt quintessentially Disney. “That one time we got pixie dusted,” she reflected, describing the surprise that was part of the magic often encountered at the park. Schieber has visited Disney multiple times with her family, usually taking around five trips a year, but she emphasised that this particular experience stood out as something truly special.

The Schieber family was assigned the Turret Suite, a sprawling accommodation spanning 1,160 square feet, complete with a hidden living room located within the resort’s iconic lighthouse. “We opened the door, and we were just shocked at how large and extravagant that room is,” Schieber recalled. The suite boasted two queen bedrooms, a king-sized room, three full bathrooms, and even a butler’s quarter furnished with a long dining table.
Schieber was particularly taken by the unique layout of the suite, highlighting their private living area. “If you’ve ever been to the Yacht Club before, they have a lighthouse,” she explained, noting that the living space on their floor was cleverly linked to their room. This hidden feature added an extra layer of excitement to their stay, reinforcing her family’s connection to the magic of Disney.
Having grown up visiting Disney with her own family, Schieber views moments like these as vital to the Disney experience. The sense of enchantment that the parks evoke is a cherished part of her upbringing, one she has now passed on to her children. “You go there for magic with your family,” she stated, adding that the expectation of unexpected joys is a central element of the Disney experience.
While her room upgrade was remarkable, Schieber pointed out that not all magical moments are as grand. She noted that other guests might enjoy smaller surprises, such as complimentary food items, line-skipping offers from cast members, or even free merchandise. These simple gestures, she explained, contribute immensely to the overarching sense of wonder that Disney aims to create for its visitors.
One of Schieber’s key motivations for returning to Disney is the exceptional service provided by its cast members, who consistently strive to make guests feel special. “Just little things they do for their guests to make them feel like it is a magical place — you’re in that Disney bubble,” she remarked. This dedication to enhancing the guest experience is what keeps her family returning to the parks year after year.
In a world increasingly focused on the transactional, Schieber’s story is a refreshing reminder of the joy and community that can be found in shared experiences. The “pixie dusting” she received exemplifies the warmth and magic that Disney represents, fostering a sense of nostalgia while also creating new memories for families to cherish.
Reflecting on her and her family’s journey, Schieber’s emotional connection to Disney is evident. From her childhood visits to creating new traditions with her children, the magic of the parks continues to evoke a profound sense of joy. Her ongoing commitment to sharing these experiences as a travel agent helps ensure that others can also partake in the enchantment that has been a central part of her life.
