A man from North Carolina has been arrested following an incident at a Morgan Wallen concert in Baltimore, where he allegedly urinated on a family of four. The concert took place at M&T Bank Stadium on July 18, and Jayson Reed, 33, is now facing multiple charges, including second-degree assault and public urination.

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police announced the arrest on their social media channels on August 12. They detailed that officers had been providing support to the Baltimore Police Department during the concert when they were called to respond to a report of a fight. Upon their arrival, security personnel had already identified those involved in the altercation, and it was during this process that Reed was escorted out of the stadium as the suspected instigator.
According to the MDTA Police’s statement, following the initial incident, detectives launched an investigation into the serious allegations against Reed. Witnesses not present during the initial on-site investigation were interviewed to gather more information on what had transpired, specifically regarding the claims that Reed urinated on concert attendees.
Currently, Reed is being held in North Carolina, pending his extradition to Maryland for further legal proceedings. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Troy Grevelding, one of the members of the affected family, recounted the distressing episode. Troy attended the concert with his wife, brother, and two nieces when the unwanted incident occurred. He described Reed as appearing to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the event.
Prior to the incident, Troy mentioned that he had interacted with Reed during the concert’s opener, Ella Langley’s performance. Initially, their exchange was friendly; they discussed sports and even took photos together. However, that amiable atmosphere quickly deteriorated when Reed allegedly began urinating on Troy’s wife and niece.
In an emotional recount, Troy explained how he initially dismissed the sensation he felt, thinking it could simply be spilled beer. Yet, when his wife alerted him that something was indeed amiss, he turned to see Reed with his trousers down, leading to the realisation of what was happening. Troy expressed a profound sense of disbelief, noting that both he and his family were directly impacted by this inexplicable behaviour.
Tim Grevelding, Troy’s brother, who also attended the concert with his two daughters aged 8 and 11, described the situation as “sickening.” He and Troy have since been in contact with the Senior VP of Operations and Customer Experience at M&T Bank Stadium, expressing their concerns about how the event was handled and their intention to pursue accountability for the incident.
Reactions from both the concert attendees and the wider community are reflective of the shock and indignation surrounding the incident. Such behaviour at a public event raises questions regarding safety and security measures in place at venues hosting large crowds.
As of now, representatives for Morgan Wallen and M&T Bank Stadium have not issued an immediate response to the ongoing situation or the concerns raised by the victims.
