An Arizona couple has been charged with child abuse after allegedly walking with their young children in sweltering temperatures for an extended period without care. Ryan and May Mullin reportedly were seen stumbling along a road while accompanied by their two children, aged two and four, in temperatures reaching 108 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday, 9 August.

The incident was reported by a concerned passerby who witnessed the couple’s behaviour. The observer claimed that Ryan appeared heavily intoxicated, describing his movements as erratic and unsteady, even falling over one of the children at one point. Meanwhile, May was reported to have been visibly ill, with allegations suggesting that she was vomiting.
The witness, concerned for the well-being of the children, offered the family a ride to safety. However, this gesture seemed to provoke a violent response from Ryan, who allegedly reacted by striking the vehicle and injuring himself in the process. When officers from the Glendale Police Department arrived, they found Ryan with blood on his face and shirt, demonstrating the physical toll of his apparent situation.
