Morgan Riddle Claims a Former Friend Attempted to Drug Her

Morgan Riddle, a prominent content creator and influencer, has recently shared a deeply unsettling experience that dates back nearly nine years. The incident, which she describes as a shocking betrayal, occurred when a friend allegedly attempted to drug her by adding a powdered substance to her drink while she was distracted.

Sharing her story on TikTok on 9 August, the 29-year-old detailed the circumstances surrounding the event, which took place one evening while she was enjoying drinks on a balcony with friends. Riddle recalled that while one friend went inside to fetch more beverages, she noticed him pouring a powder into her drink through the window. This revelation left her feeling vulnerable and betrayed.

In her TikTok account, Riddle felt compelled to advise her followers on how they could safeguard themselves in potentially dangerous situations. She included a screenshot of an email she had sent to herself the next day after the ordeal. In this email, which she dated from 2017, Riddle documented the incident in detail, including the uncomfortable and sexually suggestive questions her friend had been asking prior to the event, which contributed to her growing sense of unease.

“The email was a precautionary measure,” she explained. “I wanted to have a record of what occurred, knowing that men who engage in this behaviour often do not stop at just one incident.” Riddle emphasised the importance of reporting such experiences, particularly since many cases remain unreported, and stressed that contemporaneous documentation can enhance credibility in any legal proceedings that might follow.

Riddle articulated the significance of having a reliable account of the incident. “If something happens down the line, whether it leads to charges or civil suits, having a detailed record created at the time adds weight to the testimony of myself or another woman involved,” she stated. “It counters the narrative that claims are only made in retaliation after public awareness of the case.”

Further reiterating her commitment to women’s safety, she noted, “I sincerely hope I never have to rely on it, but should the need arise, it’s there—dated and truthful, capturing the event as it happened and not years later.” Her message was clear: women must take steps to protect themselves, particularly since they cannot expect the same level of vigilance from some men.

She previously recounted a harrowing encounter when she was almost kidnapped while attending a tennis tournament in Acapulco. In an Instagram Story from March 2025, Riddle described how she was pursued by a man who, along with an accomplice, attempted to abduct her. She had to run and scream for assistance from hotel security to escape the situation.

In her narrative, Riddle also recounted other frightening travel incidents, including one in which she was electrocuted and another where her Airbnb in Santorini was unlawfully entered. She concluded her Instagram Stories with a cautionary note for fellow travellers, advocating for a state of vigilance while navigating the world. “The moral of the story is that while travel can be enjoyable, it’s imperative to stay alert, ladies,” she added.
