During an interview with PEOPLE at the Hallmark Channel’s 25th birthday celebration at The 92nd Street Y in New York, DeLoach reflected on the importance of community among the women of Hallmark. Earlier this summer, alongside other popular stars and crew members, she embarked on the Hallmark Stars Live Tour, where the team visited ten cities to engage with fans through Q&As and panels, sharing stories and experiences from their time at the network.

Despite the challenges of travelling together, DeLoach emphasised the ease that comes with the close relationships they have forged over the years. “Many years ago we made a decision, especially the women of the network,” she explained. “I started a text chain called ‘Girl Talk’ and put all of the Hallmark girls on it to bring us together, so we could cheerlead for each other.”

The effects of this initiative have been readily apparent, with DeLoach noting that it has completely transformed how these women connect with one another. She shared, “We then started doing girls’ nights. It changed the actual fabric of how connected we all were, so that we could show up for each other, post about each other’s movies, and help each other get through hard things.”
DeLoach has been proactive in expressing support for her colleagues on social media as well. She has previously shared several heartwarming behind-the-scenes photos from the Hallmark Stars Live Tour, showcasing her interactions with long-time network favourites. These snapshots include a group picture outside their touring bus and a fun-filled image with Jonathan Bennett.
Her journey with Hallmark began in 2015 when she starred in “Christmas Land,” where she played the role of Jules, a woman who inherits a Christmas tree farm and finds herself enchanted not only by the property but also by a lawyer she befriends. Since then, DeLoach has become a regular feature on Hallmark’s seasonal programming, notably participating in their annual Countdown to Christmas festivities.
DeLoach’s most recent project, “The Greek Isle,” sees her returning to Hallmark with the role of Georgia. In this film, Georgia ventures to a Greek island to claim her inheritance, only to discover that she must marry her co-inheritor to qualify for the inheritance. Through her various roles, DeLoach has continually demonstrated her versatility as an actress.
A significant presence at the birthday celebration, DeLoach shared the spotlight with several other prominent Hallmark stars, including Andie MacDowell, Ashley Williams, Lacey Chabert, and Alison Sweeney. Their collective participation highlighted the strong bonds that have developed within the Hallmark family.
As she reflects on her career with Hallmark, DeLoach’s commitment to both her craft and her colleagues stands out. The establishment of “Girl Talk” has not only enriched her friendships but has also cultivated a culture of support among Hallmark’s leading ladies, showcasing the strength that comes from solidarity. In an industry that can often be challenging, initiatives like DeLoach’s group chat exemplify the positive impact of community and collaboration.
As Hallmark continues to create heartwarming content that resonates with audiences, DeLoach’s advocacy for connection among its female stars serves as a reminder of the importance of uplifting one another in any industry. With her impressive body of work and proactive approach to fostering relationships, Nikki DeLoach remains a beloved figure in the Hallmark family and beyond.
