During a recent photo shoot at his expansive Atlanta home, the rapper exuded a sense of calm amidst the bustling household. Describing his residence as the “Black House,” he explained how special it is to have all his children together, especially as they are increasingly leading their own lives. This sense of family has become a significant part of his life, and T.I. appreciates the moments they share as a unit.

October marks a milestone for T.I., celebrating 25 years since he launched his music career with his debut album, “I’m Serious.” Over the years, he has produced iconic tracks that have defined a generation, including hits like “Bring Em Out” and “Whatever You Like.” His collaborations with other music stars, including Justin Timberlake and Rihanna, have also topped charts and solidified his status as a leading figure in hip-hop.
T.I. has also had a presence on television, alongside Tiny, a member of the ’90s popular group Xscape. Together, they shared their family experiences on the VH1 reality series, “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle,” which ran until 2017. However, after taking a break from both the music and television scenes, T.I. is ready to step away from music, having achieved everything he aspired to.
He candidly admits that he is grateful for his success and the experiences he has gained, particularly as he reflects on his troubled youth. Growing up in Atlanta’s Central Hill neighbourhood, T.I. faced numerous challenges, including run-ins with the law. Recalling moments from his past, he recognised the need to focus on constructive pursuits rather than the reckless antics that once defined his teenage years.
One of his most enduring relationships has been with Tiny, whom he was determined to win over since seeing her in the Xscape music video as a child. Their relationship began in earnest in 2001, culminating in marriage in 2010, after which they blended their families together. Despite facing various challenges, including arrests and legal disputes, their partnership has endured. T.I. attributes the strength of their bond to having navigated difficult times together, emphasising how those experiences have made their joyous moments even more treasured.
T.I. also reflects on the lessons he has learned as a father. He acknowledges past mistakes, including a controversial revelation regarding his daughter, Deyjah. Despite the backlash he faced for his comments, he expresses no regret about sharing his family life publicly. He views their reality show as a cherished photo album, allowing him to look back on pivotal moments in his children’s lives.
As T.I. prepares for a new chapter, he is excited to embark on the “King Succession” tour with his sons, King and Domani, who are also pursuing careers in rap. He feels grateful for the extensive career he has had, transforming from a young boy aspiring for recognition to a significant figure in the music industry. As he finalises his last album, T.I. is approaching this transition with a positive outlook, ready to embrace whatever comes next.
