Her family had been enjoying a vacation when Trinity was reported missing, compelling a large-scale search operation by local authorities.

Victor Cobbs, who is in a relationship with Trinity’s mother, recounted the harrowing moments leading up to her disappearance during a live stream on YouTube. He described how he, Trinity, and another family member found themselves caught in a powerful current just before they were able to exit the water. Despite efforts from both Cobbs and nearby beachgoers to rescue her, Trinity ultimately “slipped away” from their grasp and was last seen around 7:30 PM.

In the aftermath of Trinity’s disappearance, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office mobilised a substantial search effort, deploying two vessels and ten divers to comb the waters for any sign of the young girl. Over the course of an extensive search, they conducted a total of 24 dives while utilising drone technology and beach patrol units to thoroughly examine the shorelines. Community resource deputies were also tasked to assist in various operational aspects of the search.
