Hollywood star Matt Damon recently marked a proud moment at the world premiere of his latest film, *The Odyssey*, which took place at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor showcased his affection for his four daughters, whom he shares with wife Luciana Damon. As he watched them grow up, Damon reflected on the joy and pride he feels in their development.

The actor, now 55, expressed his happiness over having his daughters present at the premiere of the film directed by Christopher Nolan. During the interview, Damon allowed his emotions to surface, admitting that seeing his daughters all together brought him to “a real dad teary moment.” He remarked, “They’re all having fun while I’m working, but I’m so happy they’re here.”

Damon’s sentiments capture the essence of parenthood, illustrating the delicate balance between professional commitments and family life. When asked about the overwhelming experience of watching his daughters grow, he responded, “Yeah. It’s a lot. It’s wonderful, but it’s a lot.” This statement encapsulates the mixed emotions many parents feel as they watch their children evolve.
The actor’s journey with his wife, Luciana, began in an unexpected way; they met while she was bartending in Miami Beach in 2003, shortly after Damon finished filming *Stuck on You*. At the time, Luciana was already a mother to her daughter, Alexia, who was just four years old. The couple tied the knot in 2005, subsequently welcoming three more daughters: Isabella, who is now 20, Gia, aged 17, and Stella, 15.
Damon’s deep affection for his family is also illustrated through the tattoos he has gotten over the years. In 2019, he made a touching gesture by tattooing the names of all four daughters on his right upper arm, alongside a tattoo of his wife’s name, “Lucy.” In a previous talk with Access Hollywood, he explained how the idea came about, stating, “On a whim, my wife said, ‘We’re going to get tattoos today,’ so I got a tattoo of her name. And it always felt alone on my arm, and I’ve always wanted to put the kids on there.”
In a more recent interview with PEOPLE, Damon shared insights into his family’s love for travel. His career in the film industry has provided him with numerous opportunities to explore various locations worldwide, and his daughters often accompany him on these journeys. “We are seasoned travellers in our family, just because I work all over the world. So my kids love to travel,” he mentioned, showcasing the family’s shared passion for adventure.
Looking ahead, the star’s summer schedule is packed as he promotes *The Odyssey*, which draws inspiration from Homer’s ancient Greek narrative. The film presents Damon in the leading role of Odysseus. With the film’s release on July 17, he anticipates a busy few weeks, travelling to various cities for promotional events.
Damon also indicated that he plans to bring his family along for several of these promotional trips, allowing them to experience diverse cultures and lands together. “I’ll bring my family for a lot of it, so they can see some of these places,” he expressed, highlighting the importance of family involvement in his professional life.
The world premiere of *The Odyssey* not only served as a platform to showcase Damon’s latest work but also as a celebration of family. His emotions on the red carpet illustrated the profound connection he has with his daughters, reflecting the journey of a father who cherishes every moment spent with his family while navigating the demands of a high-profile career. As the film prepares for its opening, Matt Damon remains fully engaged in both his role as a father and his responsibilities as a leading actor in Hollywood.
