The wedding took place at the Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port, a setting the couple chose to create a memorable experience for their guests. “We wanted to select a location that was special and enjoyable for everyone, as many of our friends and family are scattered across different states,” Dye explained. “Choosing a destination wedding felt like the right way to make every guest’s travel worthwhile.”

Dye and Joiner emphasised that the weekend was designed to be a delightful getaway, allowing their loved ones to unwind and celebrate their union. “It felt important to create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone could enjoy themselves together,” Joiner shared. The couple has always had an affinity for Cape Cod, and they felt it was the ideal spot to bring their families together for the momentous occasion.

The newlyweds reminisced about their first date, which occurred over espresso martinis and breakfast for dinner at a restaurant in Atlanta. “That night was truly magical, and we both fell in love,” Joiner recalled with fondness. The couple marked their five-year anniversary just a few days before the wedding, seeing the timing as an extra layer of significance to their celebration.
The wedding festivities commenced with an intimate family dinner at Tugboats Restaurant in Hyannis, followed by a welcoming party for all guests the subsequent day. The main ceremony and reception at the beach club included heartfelt elements, from vows shared in private to having Joiner’s brother-in-law officiate the event, emphasising family ties. “It was important for us to have someone who knows both of us and our story,” they stated. “Having Driver officiate made everything feel more personal.”
Joiner dazzled in a strapless gown by Alena Leena Bridal, while floral arrangements featuring seasonal blue hydrangeas were crafted by local florist Kerry from Protea Floral Design. The couple’s attention to detail was evident throughout the celebration, and they worked collaboratively with planner Emma deVillier of deVillier Designs. “I shared some inspiration photos with Emma, and she transformed our ideas into a magical reality,” Joiner said, impressed by deVillier’s ability to encapsulate their vision.
While the ceremony was steeped in romance, the joyous atmosphere continued at the reception, where the couple encouraged their guests to let loose and enjoy the festivities. “It was heartwarming to look around and see all our loved ones from different walks of life together in one space,” Dye expressed. “Creating this weekend was truly about allowing our families and friends to celebrate in a beautiful environment.”
Dye and Joiner explained that they desired their wedding to reflect their personalities—meaningful, yet relaxed and enjoyable. “Looking back, the weekend surpassed our expectations. It was filled with fun, intimacy, and an abundance of love,” Joiner said. “We feel incredibly fortunate to have started our marriage surrounded by our dearest friends and family.”
The couple is now settling into married life, carrying with them the cherished memories of a beautiful wedding weekend that encapsulated their love and the joy of togetherness.
