Former NHL star Brooks Laich has shared how becoming a father has profoundly changed his perspective on life and future aspirations. In an interview, Laich expressed how the arrival of his daughter, Emberly, with fiancée Katrín “Kat” Tanja Davíðsdóttir, has brought an exciting new dimension to his priorities, particularly around family time and travel.

The couple’s daughter, born earlier this year, holds a special place in Laich’s heart. He revealed, “Every day I tell my daughter, ‘I’m going to take you everywhere.’” This daily promise reflects his deep commitment to making lasting memories with Emberly. He recalls a particularly touching moment when Emberly gave her first significant smile, which he felt signified a bond between them. “I think she maybe felt my joy in the moment,” he mused.
