A tragic incident in Hillsboro, Ohio, has resulted in the death of Billy Grooms, a father of three, who suffered fatal injuries while attempting to assist a woman being assaulted. According to reports, Grooms was at the gas station with his son when they witnessed a young woman being attacked. Shortly after 2:30 a.m., suspect Javen Meadows allegedly assaulted the woman, reportedly strangling her before throwing her to the ground and physically attacking her further. In a bid to help, Grooms stepped in, but in a shocking turn of events, Meadows ran him over with his Ford F-150 truck.
Medical reports indicate that Grooms sustained multiple fractures and a severe brain injury as a result of the impact. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and placed on life support; however, his condition deteriorated rapidly.
