Biegel, who married Ryan Biegel in 2018, welcomed their daughter Iris in September 2020. She expressed her joy about family life, stating, “I don’t know how much balance I have, but I make my priority my daughter and my family, so that’s always going to be number one for us.” This emphasis on family underscores her approach to maintaining equilibrium between her bustling career as a chef and her responsibilities at home.

Her passion for family extends beyond her immediate circle, as Biegel has made significant efforts to give back to the community. At the Gotham Ball, which supports the Food Bank for New York City, she highlighted the importance of addressing food insecurity, particularly in urban areas where the contrasts of wealth and need can be stark. “My job is all about the excess of food, and there are so many people right here in our city who are food insecure,” she commented. “So I feel like I have a duty to give back in this way.”
Recently, she took a step further in her philanthropic efforts by involving Iris in volunteering activities. During the event, she shared her experience of taking her daughter to a food packing facility in the Bronx. “We had a day together packing boxes, and she had the best time,” Biegel recounted, encouraging other parents to engage their children in community service from a young age.
Biegel’s professional journey has also seen her as a long-standing co-host of the Food Network show ‘The Kitchen’, which concluded in 2025 after 12 successful years. Reflecting on her time on the programme, she expressed her fondness for her co-hosts, including Sunny Anderson and Geoffrey Zakarian, describing their camaraderie as irreplaceable. “I miss my co-host. We were saying, ‘I miss each other. We miss going in each other’s dressing rooms and hanging out,’” she noted.
Since the end of ‘The Kitchen’, Katie Lee Biegel has been exploring new horizons in her career, announcing a range of upcoming projects. One notable venture is her new YouTube series titled ‘It’s Not Complicated’, which she has set out to create alongside her husband, who is producing the show. In Biegel’s words, “We’re having a great time,” highlighting the collaborative nature of their work together.
Additionally, she is venturing into the podcasting realm with a series called ‘All on the Table’. These projects signify her desire to continue sharing her culinary expertise and personal experiences with a broader audience.
As she balances her roles as a chef, television personality, and mother, Biegel’s focus remains unwaveringly on family and community. Her thoughtful approach to parenting, alongside her commitment to addressing social issues like food insecurity, resonates with many of her fans and followers.
Biegel’s journey serves as an inspiration to those trying to find balance in their own lives, empowering them to prioritise what matters most while also making a positive impact. Her upcoming projects and continued engagement in community service reflect her dedication to both her family and her career, and many will be eager to see where her journey takes her next.
