Lindsie Chrisley, known for her role in the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” was arrested in Georgia on Saturday night on allegations of driving under the influence (DUI). The incident occurred around 10:25 p.m., and Chrisley, 36, found herself booked at the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office shortly after. Reports indicate she was released on bond just a few hours later, around 4:15 a.m. the following morning.

According to records from the Cherokee County Jail, Chrisley’s charges included DUI less safe, attempting to elude police, improper passing, reckless driving, and speeding. In Georgia, a DUI less safe charge allows for prosecution even if a driver’s blood alcohol concentration is below the legal threshold of 0.08%. This particular aspect of the law ensures that individuals can be charged for being impaired, regardless of their exact blood alcohol level.

Details surrounding Chrisley’s arrest were revealed when she spoke to TMZ, the outlet that first broke the story. She stated that her speeding was a response to a nearby car that had nearly collided with an animal, leading her to take evasive action. “I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was,” Chrisley explained. She also expressed her intention to contest the charges against her.

The bail amounts for the various charges were disclosed by the Cherokee County Jail. Chrisley faced a total of $1,355 for the DUI less safe and additional fees for the other infractions: $680 for improper passing, $565 for reckless driving, and $2,006 for speeding. It remains unclear how these legal challenges will impact her future.
Lindsie Chrisley is the daughter of Todd Chrisley and his ex-wife, Teresa Terry. The family has been in the public eye not only for their reality television show but also for legal controversies. Just last year, her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were pardoned by President Donald Trump after being convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud. The couple had originally received sentences totalling 19 years, which were subsequently reduced.
This latest incident for Lindsie comes shortly after her boyfriend, David Landsman, faced his own legal troubles. Landsman was arrested in early April for charges related to misdemeanor battery and felony aggravated assault. Allegations against him included strangulation and physical assault on an individual, showcasing a series of troubling incidents for the reality star’s inner circle.
Following these events, on her podcast “The Southern Tea,” Chrisley announced a personal decision to take a yearlong vow of celibacy, expressing that she feels it is the healthiest choice for her at this time. “I plan to remain celibate for three hundred and sixty-five days and not have conversations with any man,” she stated. The vow suggests a desire for personal growth and reflection amidst the turmoil surrounding her life.
Previously, Chrisley was married to Will Campbell, with whom she shares a son, Jackson. The couple’s marriage, which began in 2012, lasted nearly a decade before they finalised their divorce in 2021. Chrisley’s personal experiences, alongside her family’s legal challenges, continue to unfold publicly, drawing significant media attention and public interest.
As the situation evolves, Chrisley’s next steps remain to be seen, both in terms of her legal battles and her personal commitments. Meanwhile, she continues to share her journey with her listeners and followers as she navigates these complex circumstances.
