A 30-year-old man from Washington State has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Tomorrow Dawn Dill-Pickett, who has been missing since early March. Court documents reveal that Dill-Pickett, aged 37, was last seen by her friends and family around March 1. A report was filed by a friend residing in Idaho on April 1, stating that she had not heard from Dill-Pickett since a conversation on social media on March 23. The Tacoma Police Homicide Unit subsequently visited her apartment on April 2, finding nothing amiss, but a neighbour reported that she had not been seen for approximately a month.
Concerns deepened as friends began to investigate her sudden disappearance. They noted that Dill-Pickett was involved in a “chaotic/dysfunctional relationship” with Bruce, who was later identified as her former manager. When police attempted to locate Bruce at his residence, he did not answer the door. Authorities were then called back to Dill-Pickett’s home the following day when her apartment manager requested an entry due to signs of abandonment, with the locks having been changed without permission.

Upon entering the apartment, police found it to be in a “normal living condition,” and Dill-Pickett’s car was parked outside. Further inquiries were made with the father of Dill-Pickett’s son, Bryant Smith, who stated that no one had seen her since March 1. He claimed that she had expressed fears about her safety, stating, “If anything happens to me, Kendrick did it,” and showed him physical marks that she alleged were caused by Bruce.

Compounding these allegations, Smith reported that Dill-Pickett had received threats from Bruce, including ominous statements implying that “nobody would find your body.” Friends corroborated Smith’s account, noting her reluctance to engage in phone or FaceTime conversations throughout March, opting instead to communicate via text.
The narrative took a further turn as the mother of Bruce’s child described him as behaving unusually following her arrival. He had mentioned that he and Dill-Pickett had broken up during a trip, adding to the timeline of his murky behaviour. Descriptions of his actions included changing his car’s appearance and instructing her to lie to the police if needed.
Detectives obtained search warrants for Bruce’s cell phone records and GPS data, beginning their investigations into his movements and communications regarding Dill-Pickett. Bruce was stopped by police on May 14 under suspicion of identity theft connected to charges on Dill-Pickett’s account. After questioning, Bruce was taken into custody.
On May 15, searches revealed further incriminating evidence. Cadaver dogs responded to specific areas of Bruce’s vehicle. A deeper investigation included examining Bruce’s internet search history, which contained alarming queries such as “how to knock someone out,” as well as unsettling questions regarding bodily decomposition and cleaning blood from carpets.
A forensic analysis of Bruce’s residence on May 20 led to the discovery of blood traces throughout multiple areas, including the living room and bathroom. With this accumulation of evidence, law enforcement apprehended Bruce again on May 21, and he is currently detained on a bond set at $2 million, awaiting court on June 10.
Despite the various investigations and evidence, Dill-Pickett’s body has yet to be located, prompting further concern among family and friends. Smith has vocalised his despair, describing Dill-Pickett as “a genuine person” and lamenting the uncertainty surrounding her fate. “We need closure and to be able to give Dawn a final resting place,” he stated, his pain evident as he pondered the possibility of her remains lying undiscovered.
Authorities are appealing to the public for any information regarding Dill-Pickett’s whereabouts, urging anyone with knowledge of the situation to contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department or their local law enforcement agencies. The investigation continues as the community seeks answers to this troubling case.
