In a charming celebration of love and creativity, TikTok stars Taylor Owen and James Neal exchanged vows on 16 May 2024, at The Ned Hotel in London. Known for their popular series of skits titled “If Real Life Was Succession,” the couple celebrated their union with 85 guests, showcasing a wedding that was both personal and memorable.

The couple’s journey to their wedding began in June 2024 when they got engaged during a romantic holiday in Florence, Italy. James proposed to Taylor overlooking the Arno River, serenaded by a violinist in a picturesque setting. Although both hail from the United States—Taylor from Connecticut and James from California—they chose London as their wedding destination due to Taylor’s fond memories of studying in the city during a theatre tour.
“We wanted something special that reflected our connection to London,” the couple explained, recognising that many guests would need to travel regardless of the venue. Their decision to wed at The Ned was instant, drawn by its deep burgundy tones and vintage-inspired details that they felt lent themselves beautifully to the romantic atmosphere they aimed to create.
To achieve their vision, they enlisted the help of Rebecca K Events to transform the venue, aiming to create an ambiance reminiscent of an elegant candlelit dinner party. Their ceremony took place in the hotel’s stylish Saloon after guests enjoyed a pre-ceremony champagne toast in the Drawing Room, leading into an evening filled with heartfelt moments.
Music played a significant role in their ceremony, with a London-based string quartet performing “Your Song” by Elton John, a song that held special significance as it was also the tune played during James’ proposal. The couple opted to write their own vows, solidifying their commitment in front of their former theatre professor, Michael Nehring, who officiated the ceremony.
In terms of attire, Taylor chose a semi-custom halter gown by Danielle Frankel, complemented by her mother’s diamond and pearl earrings and original wedding ring for added sentiment. James looked dapper in a tuxedo from Ralph Lauren’s purple label collection. Rather than having a traditional wedding party, the couple invited their nieces and nephews to serve as honorary attendants, with their siblings delivering dual speeches in place of a maid of honour and best man.
Following their vows, the newlyweds and their guests headed to the outdoor terraces for cocktails, where they enjoyed a delightful seated three-course meal in the Tapestry Room. The evening’s culinary offerings included a starter of San Danielle ham and melon with creamed ricotta, followed by beef fillet ox cheeks. Guests were also treated to a three-tiered heart-shaped cake adorned with cherry accents, alongside a Humble Crumble station featuring create-your-own artisanal fruit crumbles.
The couple made an unforgettable entrance to their first dance, choosing the classic “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli, which they described as the perfect blend of slow and fast. They had rehearsed a choreographed dance, which they found equally entertaining and enjoyable. DJ Carly Foxx kept the energy high for the remainder of the evening, enhanced by live portrait sessions for guests, adding another unique touch to the celebration.
