Mother Shot and Killed in Front of Her 7-Month-Old Baby Outside Grocery Store Before Her Ex Turned Gun on Himself, Police Say

The tragic death of a young mother in a shooting incident has left her family and community in mourning. Shyla Cummings, a 25-year-old woman from Stonecrest, Georgia, was shot and killed outside a Publix grocery store on 6 May, in an event that has shocked many.

Shyla, who had aspirations of pursuing nursing school this autumn, was reportedly sitting in a vehicle with her seven-month-old daughter at the time of the shooting. The incident unfolded shortly after 7:20 PM in the parking lot of the supermarket situated on Panola Road.
