A billboard advertising love has taken on a new meaning in Ascension, Louisiana, thanks to Jeff Seeger, who has recently emblazoned the city’s skyline with his romantic journey. Seeger, who earlier proclaimed himself as “Ascension’s Most Eligible Bachelor” with an eye-catching billboard, is now officially engaged.

In April 2025, the 35-year-old entrepreneur made waves with his public attempt at dating, positioning himself as Louisiana’s most sought-after single man. The billboard, which towered over the bustling Interstate 10, featured a large photograph of Seeger alongside a cheeky message targeting single women: “Single woman? Here’s a sign! Date Jeff.”
While this bold move captured the attention of many passing motorists, Seeger’s true love story began on the dating app Hinge. There, he met Robin Caronna, a 32-year-old prospective partner. Their first date saw the couple share a 12-hour lunch in Prairieville, where they initially viewed each other as friends rather than romantic prospects.

Reflecting on their first encounter, Seeger shared, “I didn’t want to get rid of her. We kept getting to know each other.” Caronna described their meeting as “super laid back,” and was soon surprised to learn about her date’s public persona as a local bachelor.
As the months rolled by, Seeger and Caronna developed a strong bond through various shared activities. From attending concerts and participating in races to exploring hiking trails and embarking on road trips together, their connection deepened. Caronna expressed her admiration for Seeger’s drive and ambition, stating, “He was super motivated. He was very intentional. That was my favourite thing about him.”
The pair’s whirlwind romance reached a pivotal moment on May 2, when Seeger decided it was time to solidify their commitment. After a trip to Denver, he took Caronna to witness a stunning sunrise and seized the moment to propose. “It was perfect,” she recounted, noting how the beauty of the proposal moment eclipsed her awareness of the sunrise altogether.
Echoing Caronna’s sentiments regarding their relationship, Seeger expressed on social media how every moment prior had been leading them to this significant juncture. “When you know, you know,” he declared. “Excited to spend our lives together, loving, laughing, building, making memories, and leaving behind our legacy.” He also commemorated that Denver was where they had transitioned from ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’ to ‘fiancé and fiancée.’
In true Seeger fashion, the couple’s engagement was announced via yet another billboard. This time, the sign proclaimed “Ascension’s Newest Ineligible Bachelor” along with two photographs from the proposal. It concluded with the question “Will You Marry Me?” and the affirmative declaration “She Said Yes!” inviting the community to celebrate their union.
Seeger’s imaginative methods to navigate the dating world reflect a growing trend among individuals seeking love in unconventional ways. By publicising his journey of love, he not only attracted his future fiancée but also captured the hearts and interest of the local community in Ascension.
As the couple embarks on this exciting new chapter in their lives, they remain a testament to the idea that love can be found in the most unexpected places, even on a billboard high above a busy highway.
